If you have a qualification in massage with knowledge of anatomy and physiology and you would like to increase your skills and treatments available to your clients then this new course is an ideal, simple step forward.

What is MLD

The programme consists of two beautifully illustrated modules and two attendance workshops. MLD is totally different from massage and the pressure and movements deal almost exclusively with the lymphatic system. It is an advanced therapy in which the practitioner uses a range of specialised and rhythmic pumping techniques to move the skin in the direction of the lymph flow.

Course content

Module 1 covers the history of MLD; the technical terms; an over-view of the lymphatic system; the lymph angions, nodes and flow and the neck and face routine.

Module 2 covers contraindications, examination of the lymphatic vessels, lymph watersheds and edema and the rest of the routine.

There is a strong emphasis on practical work at the two weekends. There are short homework assignments and two case studies and a practical assessment and the final tutorial.

Payment Options

The complete cost of the course (two comprehensive modules and two weekend workshops) is £405 (one payment) or £450 (two installments); the first due on enrolment and the second on completion of the first tutorial.
